Green Beret Foundation Recognizes Occidental Petroleum Delaware Basin for Cultural Change Initiative with ROPE Solutions

Green Beret Foundation recently visited Occidental Petroleum's (Oxy) headquarters to commend the company for its commitment to a transformational culture change initiative. Oxy has partnered with ROPE Solutions, LLC to drive this change, a partnership that has resulted in the hiring of over 40 Special Operations veterans, 13 of whom are Green Beret veterans.

The Foundation emphasized the significance of providing elite veterans with a new mission and purpose beyond the battlefield, showcasing the value of these highly skilled individuals in new environments. The collaboration highlights Oxy's commitment not only to operational excellence but also to fostering an inclusive, purpose-driven culture.

The following Oxy leaders were recognized for their involvement in this impactful initiative:

BABATUNDE Cole – President, Delaware Basin Operations

Festus Hagan – Worldwide Drilling Manager

Matt Henwood – Director of HSE, ORCM

Filip Kretna – Delaware D&C Manager

Special mention was also made of Tod Stevens, VP of Worldwide Drilling (not shown), who was instrumental in driving this partnership forward.

Additionally, the Green Beret Foundation had the honor of meeting Richard Jackson, COO & President of US Land, who was coin awarded for his leadership and dedication to Oxy's mission.

The meeting was a resounding success as all parties aligned on shared goals and discussed the vision for a future where purpose-driven change empowers veterans and strengthens the company's culture.
